A better way to practise reasoning

What this free IQ test can—and cannot—tell you

IQTestReal is an online reasoning practice tool for people who want a thoughtful, understandable experience. It is not a clinical IQ examination, a school placement test, or a verdict about intelligence. The result is labelled Estimated IQ because it is a transparent conversion of performance in this question set, not a professionally normed diagnosis.

Five kinds of thinking

The test combines logic, pattern, numerical, spatial, and analogy questions. Logic items ask you to compare conditions and identify what must follow. Pattern questions reward attention to sequences, transformations, and relationships. Numerical questions explore proportions, arithmetic reasoning, and number structure. Spatial questions use rotation and visual organisation. Analogy questions ask you to transfer a relationship from one pair to another. A varied set gives you more useful feedback than a single type of puzzle.

Results with context

After you submit, the score page shows your Estimated IQ, percentile, classification, accuracy, time taken, and category strengths. Each answer includes an explanation so you can learn from the reasoning rather than only seeing right or wrong. Percentiles describe the position implied by this model; they do not prove how you compare with a representative population. Sleep, language, familiarity, attention, and accessibility can all affect a short online attempt.

Practice responsibly

For a fairer attempt, choose a quiet setting, avoid calculators and search engines, and answer without help. Treat the timer as information rather than pressure. You can move backward, restart, or take a new randomized test. Retakes are useful for learning, but scores from repeated practice should not be compared as if they were independent clinical measurements. Notice which explanations change your approach and use those observations to guide study.

Privacy by default

No account is required. Completed attempts are stored in local browser storage so your dashboard can show your own history on that device. IQTestReal does not sell test answers or claim access to private psychological data. Advertising and analytics remain disabled until they are configured, disclosed, and reviewed. Read the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for the current details, or send a question through Contact.

Make the score useful

A good practice result gives you a next step. If a category feels unfamiliar, read its explanation, try a similar puzzle, and return later without pressure. Keep notes about the rule you missed, the clue you overlooked, and the method that eventually worked. This turns an online IQ test into a small learning loop: attempt, review, practise, and reflect. It also keeps the score in its proper place—as feedback about one session, not a definition of your potential. Clear explanations make the exercise useful for learners at different levels.
